Livingston Depot
As part of a capital improvement program, O2 Architects was commissioned to perform an analysis of the historic Livingston Depot including recommending: seismic structural improvements, restoration and cleaning of exterior brick and terra cotta, plaster patching and restoration, and replacement of the current asphalt shingle roof with original slate roofing. The Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and houses the Depot Museum, a popular tourist destination. Mechanical improvements will include a new HVAC system, and new water and sewer. Structural improvements will stabilize the roof, improving the building’s ability to withstand seismic events, and reduce vibrations from passing trains.
Renovation was complete in November 2005.
